Emily Troe – Millard North High School

My name is Emily Troe and i went to Millard North High School. I want to thank Mr. Austin, who helped deepen my love and appreciation for art, pottery specifically! It’s been about 10 years since I was in high school and I still remember him always being such a positive light. He was always encouraging if i was struggling with a pottery piece and I definitely learned patience from him. I credit him to being a large influence of why I continued art in college and in my field today! I made this owl/tree teapot in his class in high school, here are a couple photos of the process.
