Cori Lightfoot – Ashland-Greenwood Public Schools

I went to Omaha Public Schools for K–12, and I was so inspired by my art teachers—especially in high school—that I decided to become an art teacher myself. I’ve now taught elementary art for 22 years, with 21 of those years at Ashland-Greenwood Public Schools. I’ve truly loved the support and creativity my kiddos bring into the art room. They encourage me just as much as I encourage them, and we grow together. One of my absolute favorite things is that I now have co-teachers who were once my students. It’s been such a full-circle joy.
